From 24 to 26 March, a delegation of  diplomatic envoys from six countries in China, including Timor-Leste, Guinea-Bissau, Cape Verde, Sao Tome and Principe, Mozambique and Angola, arrived in Hunan Province for a three-day visit. During the visit, a delegation of diplomatic envoys in China visited the China-Africa Economic and Trade Cooperation Promotion Innovation Demonstration Park, and exchanged ideas on setting up a platform for China-Africa cooperation, jointly participating in the 2nd China-Africa Economic and Trade Expo (CAETE), and promoting the establishment of the Macao Center in Changsha.  At present, the brand-new comprehensive service platform for cross-border e-commerce between China and Africa is about to be put into use, gathering more than 1 million products, and it is expected to achieve an annual sales revenue of over USD 1 billion.  Through construction of 3-5 years, the China-Africa Economic and Trade Cooperation Promotion Innovation Demonstration Park will strive to achieve the import and export volume of RMB 40 billion, to be built into the Leading Area for In-depth Economic and Trade Cooperation between China and Africa and promote the formation of a long-term mechanism for economic and trade cooperation between China and Africa.  The successful holding of the first China-Africa Economic and Trade Expo (CAETE) has injected strong impetus into China-Africa economic and trade cooperation.  In 2020, the Leading Area for In-depth Economic and Trade Cooperation between China and Africa was established in Hunan. The brand effect and influence of the two state-level platforms are increased day by day. Officials, ambassadors in China, heads of business associations and entrepreneurs from African countries have visited Hunan to seek greater space for cooperation.

On August 18, 2020, the Trade Cooperation Promotion Conference for China (Hunan), Ghana, Tanzania and Ethiopia and Opening Ceremony of African Coffee Street and Cocoa Marketing Center was held in the Hunan Gaoqiao Grand Market in Changsha, attended by diplomatic envoys from Tanzania, Ghana and Ethiopia.  Since the first China-Africa Economic and Trade Expo (CAETE) was successfully held, Hunan has made great efforts to build a long-term mechanism for economic and trade cooperation with Africa, and actively explored and formed the "Hunan Model" for China-Africa economic and trade cooperation.

China is the world's largest importer of non-resource commodities, and the market has great potential.   Before the first China-Africa Economic and Trade Expo (CAETE) was held in 2019,  Africa's non-resource commodities exported to China accounted for only 2.5%, which has increased tenfold since then.  At the Trade Cooperation Promotion Conference, the envoys of the three countries all believed that it was the result of cooperation and exchanges with China (Hunan) that African products such as coffee, cocoa and cashew nuts would spread from Hunan to the world.
